Founded in 1986, following a suggestion by Vietnamese Zen teacher and poet Thich Nhat Hanh, Parallax Press is the publishing division of Unified Buddhist Church, Inc., dedicated to publishing books on socially engaged Buddhism. We are Thich Nhat Hanh's core publisher and carry all books published by him. In addition, Parallax publishes books by Robert Aitken, Stephen Batchelor, Maha Ghosananda, Sister Chan Khong, H.H. the Dalai Lama, Joanna Macy, Sulak Sivaraksa, Mitsu Suzuki, Ko-Un, Gary Gach, Alan Hunt Badiner, John Malkin, Hilda Gutierrez Baldoquin, Catherine Ingram, Victoria Jean Dimidijan, Claude Whitmyer, and many others.
